We built Spenzaa to help you understand your money better. But there are honest limits to what an app โ even a good one โ can and should do. This page spells those limits out in plain language.
1. Not financial, legal or tax advice
Spenzaa is an information tool, not an adviser. Nothing in the app, on this website, in our emails or in our AI-generated insights constitutes financial, investment, legal, accounting or tax advice. Budgets, forecasts and suggestions are based on patterns in your own data โ they don't know about your full life circumstances. Before making a significant financial decision, talk to a qualified professional who does.
2. AI outputs can be wrong
Our categorization engine is right about 96% of the time, which also means it's wrong about 4% of the time. Forecasts are estimates, not promises. A predicted end-of-month balance can be thrown off by a single unexpected expense. Always review AI-generated entries and insights before acting on them, and correct anything that looks off โ the AI learns from your corrections.
3. SpenzaBook records are not legal proof of debt
SpenzaBook helps you and your customers keep a shared, timestamped record of credit given and payments received. That record is useful โ but it is a bookkeeping aid, not a legally executed loan agreement, promissory note or court-admissible instrument by itself. If you're extending significant credit, put a proper written agreement in place. Local laws on money lending and interest vary; complying with them is your responsibility.
4. Savings figures are averages
When we say users "save an average of 18% in 90 days," that is a genuine average across our user base โ not a guarantee. Some users save more, some less, some nothing at all. Your results depend on your habits, income and how actively you use the app.
5. We are not a bank
Spenzaa Inc. is a software company. We do not hold deposits, move money, issue credit or provide any regulated banking service. Money you record in Spenzaa or SpenzaBook exists wherever it actually exists โ in your bank, your wallet, your till. We just help you keep track of it.
6. Third-party links and services
Our website and app may link to third-party services (app stores, account aggregators, payment providers). We don't control them and aren't responsible for their content, policies or actions. Their terms apply when you use them.
7. Availability
We work hard to keep the Service running, but we can't promise it will be available 100% of the time, error-free or uninterrupted. Keep important records backed up โ the app's auto-backup feature does this for you when enabled.
8. Some features described here are on our roadmap, not all live yet
This website describes the full direction of the Spenzaa product, including capabilities we are actively building. At any given time, some features mentioned on this site or in our marketing materials may still be in development and not yet available in the current version of the Spenzaa app on iOS or Android. We try to be clear about what's live today versus what's coming, but the app is updated more gradually than this website.
If a feature you read about here isn't yet available in your app version, please don't assume it's a bug or a broken promise โ it most likely means that capability is still on our roadmap. Check the app's current feature set directly, or contact us at help@spenzaa.com, before relying on any specific capability for a decision. We aren't liable for actions taken on the assumption that a planned, not-yet-released feature was already available.
